Babies and Bears Sweater : Tuesdays July 20, 27, August 3 & 10 5:30-7:30pm
This hooded baby sweater is knit in two separate pieces beginning with the wrist end of the sleeve and ending at the center of the body. After the second piece is knit the two are invisibly joined with Kitchener stitch. This pattern offers several choices for needle size and yarn weight…there’s even opportunity to use up stash on optional color work! Techniques you’ll learn include knitting with double points and circulars, side to side construction, picking up stitches, buttonholes, increasing & decreasing, Kitchener stitch, working a border, and the option of working a texture technique or a small two color design.
Materials: Pattern by Cottage Creations, 16″ circlular and double point needles in size appropriate for yarn, tapestry needle, markers and 5 small buttons.
