kids in sweaters

Aren’t these guys cute? They stopped by the store with Grandma last weekend sporting hand-knit Pure & Simple sweaters. We think the little boy on the right is the luckiest: he got to pick out yarn for Grandma to knit him a brand new sweater! He chose a shade of orange Encore.

May Shop Update

May 8, 2008

A beautiful trunk show featuring Blue Sky Alpaca Cotton yarns is here for a visit for the next couple of weeks. If you haven’t seen the Baby Bobbi Bear in person, come take a look. You’ll want to cast on for one for┬áthe special little (or big!) kid in your life!

We have a special intermediate hat of the month: The Lacy Cap from Big Lake Knits, which was designed by Yarn Harbor’s own Sandy Tolene! Be sure to ask her to autograph your copy of the pattern. Our beginner hat is the Fabulous Fixation Baby Hat, which is free when you purchase the yarn. Cascade Fixation is a cotton & elastic yarn that is lots of fun to knit.

Get a start on gift knitting with new patterns from Noni. We have many colorful felted bag patterns to brighten up your spring and we also have an oven mitt & trivet pattern that would make a great gift for those upcoming weddings!

Congratulations to one of our newest knitters, who finished her Knitting 101 hat! We’re proud to have another Duluth knitter with us.
