Yarn Love: Road to China Silken Jewels

December 21, 2007

Every Friday I’ll be bringing you an edition of Yarn Love: up close and personal time with some of the most beautiful yarns that we carry. I certainly love yarn and I know you do, too, so I think it will be really fun to explore different yarns together.

Road to China Silken Jewels is an absolutely stunning yarn.

The full spectrum of colors is fantastic. This yarn would make for some luxurious fair isle fingerless mitts! Speaking of luxury, take a look at the fiber content: 65% Alpaca, 10% Cashmere, 10% Camel, 5% Yak, 10% Soya Fiber. It doesn’t get much more luxurious than that.

I can’t get over how gorgeous the Light Amethyst colorway is. It’s hard to tell from my amateur photography, but there is a subtle heathering that is fantastic. You can tell from this picture that there’s a touch of a halo around the yarn from the Alpaca–yum!
