Mitten of the Month-July

July 3, 2010

This month’s mitten is actually a half glove. Half gloves are perfect when things get cool but it is not yet mitten weather, or while working at the computer. They take even less yarn than mittens, making them a fun, quick project.

Our chosen pattern features a twisted stitch ribbing and pattern up the back. We have knit it up in Mirasol’s Tupa, and they turned out wonderfully. Soft with a nice sheen. The pattern is Jean Christensen’s “Fingerless Gloves”.

Cid Hanscom Trunk Show

July 3, 2010

We have a delightful collection from Cid Hanscom as our trunk show the beginning of this month. She has designed knittable balloon animals, a bunch of very cute holiday figurines, and a wonderfully cuddly teddy bear. The show is up in our store until the 13th of July. Please come on by and say awwww.
