Filling up the larder for Fall

September 26, 2010

We are pleased to announce the our Cascade 220 wall is feeling much better, thank you. We got in a ton of colors, reorganized it, and now it is a wall of color inspiration. If you have been frustrated by the color choices, well, it is all better now.

We also got a new batch of new books in. Some, like Alice Starmore’s “Aran Knitting”, has sold out already (we will get more, I promise!), but there are plenty of other great new books to pick from. “Cowlgirls” stands out, as well as “More Last Minute Knitted Gifts.”

Come on by, bring a cup of something warm to sip, and take in all the new fun!

September Mitten of the Month

September 12, 2010

September’s mittens are wonderfully cozy for the chill that’s in the air. They’re the Seed Stitch Medallion mittens from Blackberry Ridge, and we knit them out of Classic Elite “Fresco,” which is one of our favorite, deliciously soft yarns. We think you’ll love working the unusal cable, which adds an element of luxury to these mittens, making them perfect for wear with a dress coat.

As always, if you bring in your completed August mittens you’ll get 10% off of your supplies for the September mittens.
